3287759 - First Step for Onboarding process not Triggering for New recruits - Onboarding

When Onboarding is initiated manually through Add New Recruit to Onboarding, the first step of the Onboarding process is not created. The candidate appears on the Onboarding Dashboard but no task or process step is visible.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Navigate to the Onboarding Dashboard.
2. Click Add New Recruit to Onboarding.
3. Fill in the required fields and submit.
4. Search for the candidate on the Onboarding Dashboard.
5. Observe that the candidate record is present but the first process step (such as New Hire Data Review) has not been created.

The business rule configured for Onboarding process initiation is missing a required condition that evaluates the process target date. Without this condition, the rule does not evaluate correctly and the first BPE process step is not triggered.

For Live Customer(s) and Implementation Partner(s) and Consultant(s)

1. Navigate to Admin Center > Configure Business Rules.
2. Search for the business rule associated with Onboarding process initiation (rule scenario: Onboarding).
3. Open the rule and review the defined conditions.
4. Verify that the condition line contains: Process.Target Date is after 01/01/1900
5. If this condition is missing, add it and save the rule.
6. Re-initiate Onboarding for the affected candidate using Add New Recruit to Onboarding.
