Symptom
A composite task is created with both an assignee and a reviewer.
Once the assignee has completed the task and submitted it it still appears in the "calendar highlights" tab of the assignee's home screen and the associated story can still be opened and edited.
Environment
SAP Analytic Cloud
Reproducing the Issue
- Create a composite task with both an assignee and reviewer.
- Turn on "Calendar Highlights" in assignee's SAC preferences.
- Activate the composite task and verify that the task appears in the calendar highlights.
- After the assignee submits the task he or she will still be able to see and open the composite task via the calendar highlights or calendar tab.
Cause
The behavior works as designed.
A Composite task is a logical unit consisting of an assignee and an optional review part.
As long as either the assignee or the reviewer haven't finished their work, the task will remain in process and be shown in the home screen tile for both users.
Resolution
As an alternative a General Task for the assignee and a Review Task for the reviewer can be used instead.
The Review Task is dependant on the General Task. This approach is based on atomic task types. Those tasks will only show up in the respective home screen tiles if the General Task / Review Task is in progress.
Please note that an assignee may still be able to open the story standalone and perform data changes even if the associated task has already been submitted.
The Calendar does not prevent that. If you would like to make sure that the data is locked after the assignee has submitted his task, there are automatic Data Locking tasks for that purpose.
