3288109 - Bold lines and the area underneath them are different colors in a Stacked Area Chart in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

When a color axis is ungrouped, the bolded line and the area underneath may show up in different colors in a Stacked Area chart

In the example below, the second trellis has a blue line, but an orange area underneath.

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2023.03

1. Create a new Stacked Area chart
2. Add bindings for Account, Dimension, Color dimension and Trellis dimension
3. Make sure that Color Axis is ungrouped
4. Note that some of the stacks might have different colors for the bolded line and the area underneath

This behavior is by design.  Ungrouping a color axis inserts nulls into the data where specific combinations of color dimension categories and trellis dimension categories do not have any data points. However, nulls are treated as zeros in the stacked area resulting in a line plotted i.e. an area with height zero.

If you want the color to be consistent, then check "Unbooked Data" under any of the dimensions added from the builder panel since it will skip the nulls.
