3288435 - Why entries in tables overlap

Symptom

  • This applies to time‑dependent tables that contain the fields BEGDA and ENDDA, wherein ENDDA is defined as a key field (in transaction SE11) while BEGDA is not a key field, for example T512W.
  • After applying the support package, overlapping entries are created, meaning that two records are valid at the same time for a given period.
  • The table content is delivered by SAP via support packages. However, in the meantime, customers may create their own entries as described in the relevant SAP Notes.
