3289062 - You Cannot Use the Flag of Main Address for an Account

Symptom

You are trying to select the Main Address for an Account, however, the field is grayed out.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign 2211 and higher.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Account Management Work Center and then Accounts view.
  2. Search for the affected Account ID.
  3. Click Edit > General.
  4. Go to the Communication tab.
  5. Click Address Details.
  6. The Main checkbox is grayed out. 

Resolution

This is the expected system behavior. It's the standard behavior that the "Main" indicator in the address details screen is "read-only" for address type "Standard".

This "Main" indicator has only effect on other address types.
