3289147 - Invalid Bill-to party error while creating Preliminary Billing Document - S/4HANA Cloud

Symptom

You are getting error "At least one document that you are trying to bill contains an invalid bill-to party address. Please change each of the following bill-to party addresses to a valid address to continue with billing document creation." while creating Preliminary Billing Document with Manual Debit Memo Request.

 

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud All versions

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create Preliminary Billing Documents app.
  2. Search for a SD Document
  3. Click on 'Create Preliminary Billing Documents"

 

Cause

Invalid Bill to party address.

Resolution

Check Bill to party address maintenance and if document's date is covered by address Validity period on Business Partner Master Data.
