3289429 - Smartedit not working due to WCMS preview URL

Symptom

When opening the storefront in SmartEdit, one of the following symptoms is experienced:

  • The overlay doesn't load and the modes cannot be changed, making it impossible to edit pages.
  • The theme is not picked up by SmartEdit, causing style issues in the storefront previewed.
  • The edit modes are available, but the pages is not editable until the user refreshes the page.
  • In the console of the browser the "disallowed storefront is trying to communicate with smarteditcontainer" error can be seen.
