3289916 - Purchase Order not Automatically Created from manually created Purchase Request

You notice when you release a Purchase Request that a Purchase Order has not been automatically created, even though you have scoped the following question in Business Configuration:

"Do you want purchase orders to be created automatically from purchase requests?"

AND

You have maintained a valid rule in Define Automatic Creation of Purchase Orders in the common tasks of the Purchase Requests and Orders work center.

 SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Purchase Request and Orders work center.
2. Go to Purchase Request view.
3. Click New. 
4. Click Purchase Request.
5. Create Purchase Request ABC.
6. Release the Purchase Request ABC.

Notice that Purchase Order has not been automatically created.

Automatic creation of Purchase Orders is not supported for manual Purchase Requests or Purchase Requests created via Webservice.

This is the expected system behavior.

Automatic creation of Purchase Orders is only supported for Purchase Requests originated from Shopping Carts, Project Purchase Requests, Purchase Proposal or Service Order.
