3290024 - Recommend Links URLs not Saving - Onboarding

After updating the Recommended links and submitting the changes, the system reverts back for the previous links after a few minutes, or if closing and opening Recommended links again.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Updating the URLs for some current links that were already configured;
2. Saving/submitting;
3. Open recommended links again or wait a few moments and the links reverts back to the previous links.

The cause is that the URLs need to be well-defined prior to new hire creation. Otherwise, modifications to the template can only be partially interpreted by Onboarding (for example, deleting links from the template doesn't propagate; adding links means the new link gets added in addition to the existing links).

The URLs should be well set during initial implementation period, and then not be changed. The issue is that the generated objects containing the URLS are called "MDF objects" and those objects are highly sensitive to the configuration and conditions for their initial creation.

This means in this case it is not supposed to be redefined a later point; if they do, this will cause the subject to be seeing some newly added links with old links, and some old links persisting briefly. This is system behavior.
