3290086 - Decomissioned systems need to be removed from IRT tool

Symptom

If you have made a pairing on IRT tool between 2 systems Bizx1 and Bizx2. Then if you decomission system Bizx2. When accessing the IRT tool of Bizx1 the decomissioned system still shows up.

Is this expected? Is it possible to remove the decomissioned system from the pairing list?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

Cause

Target details are getting displayed based on the existing pairing data (With the Source SuccessFactors Instance) available in the DB

Please note that is irrespective of the decommissioned tenants state which means that when those instances were LIVE you have created a valid pairing.

It is considered a historical data and is not deleted from the Database for consistency purposes.

In our example from the symptom section above, The fact that Bizx2 was decomissioned does not mean that it will get deleted from the Bizx1 pairing list. It will remain as it is.

However, what if a user mistakenly selects Bizx2 from the pairing list. Would anything occur on the backend?

Resolution

we have already put a validation in IRT that even if a user mistakenly selects that decommissioned tenant from that dropdown now system will show a validation message "Target tenant is not available". This is the Engineering team suggested approach on this case.
