3290473 - Multiple Onboarding Processes created for Internal Hires - Onboarding

• Onboarding process are triggered multiple times to internal hires from Employee Central
• Any changes in the employee's Employee Profile creates a record in Onboarding Dashboard
• Multiple tasks created for Internal Hires

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Initiate one or two data changes in an employee's record in Employee Profile
2. See that the changes created duplicate onboarding processes in the Onboarding Dashboard

This is caused by a business rule misconfiguration.

• The "SYS_ONB_InternalHire_Configuration" rule to crossboarding process is configured without considering the event reason.
• So the crossboarding process is created for all the event reasons (e.g. "Data change", "Transfer", "promotion"..etc).
• This explains why several crossboarding processes are being created for the same employee.

FIX:

• Configure the "SYS_ONB_InternalHire_Configuration" rule to create the crossboarding process only for the "transfer" event reasons and not for the data change.

Workaround for the Internal Hires who has duplicate processes:

• Cancel the unnecessary Onboarding Processes to also cancel their Hiring Manager Tasks.
