SAP Knowledge Base Article - PublicSymptom
A new custom document category for Personal Information portlet was created but when an attachment is uploaded it is still getting associated to the Pre-Defined Document Category.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors HXM Core 2211
Resolution
The document categories are supported only for the Metadata Framework (MDF).
The Personal Information portlet / feature is not MDF and this is the reason that it is not possible to use a custom document category for this portlet. A pre-defined document category must be used for this portlet / feature.
Currently, custom document categories can't be used to override predefined document categories supplied by SAP SuccessFactors modules.
