3290680 - “Unable to save the changes” error occurs when completing I9 Section 3 Reverification - Onboarding

When Completing the task with the appropriate options selected (provided in steps to reproduce) get an error “Unable to Save the Changes” and cannot continue with process. 

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Select I9 Section 3 Reverification task in Compliance tile on homepage.
2. Make the following selections:
   
   
3. • “Yes” on “The employee's previous grant of employment authorization has expired and information for the document or receipt that establishes continuing employment authorization needs to be provided.”
   • “None” on “Are you a refugee, asylee or other with a protected status?”.
   • “No” on “Are you a citizen of one of these Freely Associated States?”.
   • “F-1” on “Visa Type”.
   • On “List A” choose “no” for receipt.
   • “Foreign password, work authorized nonimmigrant”.
   • Fill in other values as required.
   • On the next “Document is a receipt” section, choose “Form i94/I-94A”.
   • “US Customs and Border Protection” on “Issuing Authority”.
   • Complete all other document fields as needed.
   • On the next “Document is a receipt” section, choose “Form I-20”.
   • “U.S. Immigration And Customs Enforcement” on “Issuing Authority”.
   • Complete all other document fields as needed.
     
     
4. Upload a PDF document.
5. Check the Employer’s Consent Statement and hit Submit.
6. Error "Unable to Save the Changes" will be raised.

The issue happens when D/S is selected as expiration date in Section 3. 

This is a known issue for SAP Engineering Team and there is a fix to be deployed in the next release, 1H 2023.

The recommended workaround for the scenario where the document does not have an expiration date, the preferable would be to select a document with expiration date.
