3290685 - Error "Configure Price Quote (CPQ) requires to be saved consistently" when trying to create a new Sales Quote

Symptom

When trying to create a new Sales Quote, system shows the error: "Configure Price Quote (CPQ) requires to be saved consistently".

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Sales workcenter.
  2. Navigate to Sales Quotes view.
  3. Create a new Sales Quote.
  4. Choose the Document Type as ZCPQ.
  5. Click Save.
  6. The error appears: "Configure Price Quote (CPQ) requires to be saved consistently".

Cause

The error is about the requirement that a CPQ quotes on creation must be saved consistently. By consistency we mean that all the parameters before the transfer of the document must be filled and maintained in the Update file.

Resolution

You should ensure that you:

  • Enter a party with role Employee Responsible.
  • Enter a party with role Sales Unit.
  • Enter a party with role Payer.
  • Document should have currency determined etc.
