3290741 - Unable to export a table after the SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) upgrade

The following behavior occurs in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC):

• When you try to export a table to csv or excel from a story, you get error "The current widget is already exporting, or there are more than 20 exports started. Please wait for a few minutes and try again."
• In case you don't get the above error, SAC shows an alert under notification as the report is exporting 0% and nothing happens even after 30 mins. So you have to click on cancel eventually.
• This table is with the BW live connection or BPC live connection.
• This issue happens after the SAC version upgrade

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2022, 2023
• SAP Business Warehouse

The root cause of the issue is an incorrect "parent index" (required to render hierarchical structures) returned by the BW server and a recent change in the table grid export on client side. Both together ends up in an endless Javascript loop.

The issue becomes observable with recent SAC version update because with older versions the "parent index" was not used on client side at all.

Install the BW note 3041816 - INA: Incorrect parent indexes for flat presentation (value instead of -1) in the BW system.
