3291410 - Additional/Different fields available in the "Options and Settings" area

Depending on the user, the "Options and Settings" area has additional/different fields available.

If the user is created via an external site, they are able to change their details via the “Options & Settings” area because they are "Self-Registered" users. 

When the user self-registered, the fields that are available in the Learning admin side > System Administration > Application Administration > User-Created Account remain available and editable in the Learning user side > “Options and Settings” entry > And the user can modify them at any time > The only way to remove the fields from this area is by changing the setup in the Learning admin side > System Administration > Application Administration > User-Created Account.

Note that if the User-Created Account setup is changed, it will also affected the fields available in the account creation via the site.

If the admin created the user, they are not considered as "Self-Registered" user, so they will not be to change those details.

When the user is created by a Learning admin, no field that is part of the Learning admin side > System Administration > Application Administration > User-Created Account is available in the Learning user side > “Options and Settings” entry.

Our Learning Engineering team confirmed that this behavior regarding the observed difference in the “Options & Settings” area is expected and it would not be possible to differently configure it.

Alternatively, to have a different system behavior, it would be possible to have an enhancement request (KBA 2090228) created for it, where the Learning Product Management team can further review and assess the requested functionality to be considered in a future release.
