3293059 - Wrong Language For Some Values In Form Template

Text that was translated using the language adaptation tool is not showing is showing with the old text or with English value in your output form.

There are many ways this issue could appear. As example, we're looking at the Account Summary and the Contact BO field 'Function'.

Prerequisite: You translated the field's code value text via Language Adaptation tool in the Administration work centre. In the UI the text is showing as expected.

1. Go to the Customers work centre
2. Go to the Accounts view
3. Open a relevant account for which contacts that have functions are maintained 
4. Actions > Generate Summary

Result: the function values in the summary differ from those in the UI.

Form Templates do not support text translated via the language adaptation tool for values that get maintained via business configuration - the UI however, does. This is why you can see text as translated by language adaptation in the UI, but don't see it reflected in a form (such as account summary). Therefore it’s necessary to maintain the code-values in the relevant business configuration fine tuning activity to see the translated functions in the form.

As (safety) fallback option, if a value is not present in a specific language in the business configuration, then the corresponding English value of the code is used.

This is expected system behaviour for all code/text that is maintained via business configuration fine tuning activity and for all types of forms, so not specific to account summary and contact function values.
