How to add a Field Description information to the Job Application fields through Manage Templates?

It's possible to do this change through Manage Templates.

If you don't have it enabled and would like to have it, please follow the steps of this KBA: 2157630 - Enabling Manage Templates in Recruiting

NOTE: It is very important to keep in mind this tool is extremely powerful. Modifications made to templates can have a direct impact on candidate experience, integrations, custom integrations, etc. Change should only be made by a qualified individual that is familiar with the configuration.

To edit or add a field description to a job application field through Manage Templates, please, do the following:

1. Go to Manage Templates feature
2. Select Job Application
3. Select the template name you wish to modify
4. Under Template Settings page, there will be an option '[NUMBER] Fields defined. Click to modify'. Click there.
   
   
   
   
5. Scroll down until you see the field ID you wish to add a field description to
6. When you find the field, enter the value in the Field Description area
   • If you want to add a field description to a specific language, you can add the translation through the "Add More+" button below the text area
     
     
     
     
7. Click on Done
8. Click on Publish to publish the new template version

It's also recommended, after performing changes to templates, to do an OData API Metadata Refresh.
