3294099 - Part Numbers of Variant Type Products are not being shown in Catalog

Symptom

Part Numbers of Variant type Products are not being shown in catalog when trying to Add to Quote.

Environment

Type: Test and Productive System integrated with Variant Configuration 
Product version: SAP CPQ 2023
System managed by: SAP Cloud Tenant
Sold product: SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to CPQ;
  2. Open any existing quote and click Add Products;
  3. In the catalog, it can be seen that some products do not show Part Number.

Cause

When product is not of simple type and "Allow adding incomplete items" is turned off, part number will not be shown in the Catalog, because in general the part number of the configurable product can depend on the configuration.

Resolution

Turn "Allow adding incomplete items" toggle on for respective User Type.
It must be considered that user will be able to add incomplete products to the quote.
