3294197 - Notification Trigger not working as expected in some email domains - Onboarding

• Using the "GMAIL" domain, the notification body has the pre-configured email body in the system and the notification contains an HTML code. 
• Using the "Yahoo" domain, the notification body has the pre-configured email body in the system. HTML is NOT showing
• Using the "Microsoft Outlook" domain, the notification body contains the default configuration of the email template.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Use and configure the Email Layout Settings > Use Custom Layout.
2. Modify or copy a default email template and customized the email body.
3. Initiate onboarding for a candidate
4. Try to send emails to different domains.
5. See that:
   • Gmail will have an HTML code and the email body still has the default contents.
   • Yahoo won't have the HTML code, but the email body still has the default contents.
   • Microsoft outlook works fine.

Product Defect:

• The custom layout doesn't have valid HTML.
• The table and tr tags are mixed inside td tags.
  
  

PERMANENT FIX:

• The Engineering Team will have a code-fix in place to fix the custom layout default settings.

WORKAROUND:

• Meanwhile, the team recommends updating the layout.
• Please find attached html file.
• It has been tested in a QA instance with gmail and it worked fine.
  1. You can open the file in notepad
  2. Select all content
  3. Copy it
  4. Then paste it to Email Services-> Email Settings-> Email Layout Settings
  5. Hit Submit.

You can test it easily by resending emails under Email status tab. Resent email will pick up updated layout.

NOTE: If you updated the preconfigured colors, the attached file provided doesn't have those changes. It has default colors. So you may need to update colors again.
