3294352 - Publish data button is enabled after running the data action although no unpublished data exists in SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning (SAC)

The following behavior occurs in SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning (SAC):

• You run a data action without ticking the auto publishing follow-up action.
• After you run the data action, the Publish data and revert data button are enabled although no data is generated by this data action. 
• If you check from the data foundation view in the modeler, you also confirm that there is no unpublished data for this version.

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise)

This is by design.

A public version is set into edit mode as soon as a data action is triggered on it. If you have not enabled an auto publish after the data action, even if the data action produces no results, this version remains in the edit mode and the publish and revert button are enabled.

There is no designed behavior that distinguishes between whether a data action really changes any data or does not.

If you expect an automatic revert of a public edit if a data action does not add any fact data, this is an feature enhancement request.
