3295288 - Archive session has status Incomplete Archiving Session after Job was cancelled however all archive files have completed status

Symptom

An archive session incorrectly has 'Incomplete Archiving Session' status. This status is incorrect in case:

  • The archiving Write job for an Archiving Object (e.g. FI_DOCUMNT, WORKITEM, etc.) was run in SARA, which was cancelled due to runtime error SYSTEM_NO_MEMORY right before completion. This can be checked within the Write job logs.
  • The Write job completed successfully, all archive files in the archive session have successful status, yet the session is still under "Incomplete Archiving Sessions" in SARA.
  • The Delete job (and if scheduled the Store job) also ran to completion. Even so, the archive session has status "Incomplete Archiving Session" when checked in SARA => Management.
