3295317 - Error Message When Migrating Material Valuation Data: 'Combination of Company, SOB, Validity, Price type invalid'

You are migrating material valuation data via migration tool, however, in the simulate step, the system returns an error that the combination of company, set of books, validity and price type is not valid for a given material.

SAP Business ByDesign.

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to Implementation Projects view.
3. Open activity list.
4. Open activity Migrate material valuation data using the migration tool
5. Execute migration step by step for your uploaded template. 

In the Simulate step, the following error is raised: Combination of Company <company name and ID>, SOB <ID>, Validity, Price type <price type e.g. Inventory Cost> invalid.

If two materials with same company/SOB are coming in and each have a different validity date maintained, the system does not consider the material itself at all. Hence the error is raised.

You need to create separate migration files based on the validity period of the costs being uploaded, so that in one file there are only material costs with the same validity (Valid From and Valid To).
