The password has been forgotten and has been locked due to multiple incorrect login attempts.

1. Access the tenant URL.
2. In the User ID field, insert your User ID.
3. In the Password field, insert your password.
4. Click on Log On button (in SAP Business ByDesign) or Sign in button (in SAP Cloud for Customer).

The password has been locked due to many incorrect login attempts.

When a password is locked due to multiple incorrect login attempts, users have the option to change their password through a simple process. The password recovery can be performed by clicking on the "Forgot Password?" (SAP Cloud for Customer) or "Forgot your password?" (SAP Business ByDesign) link in the login screen. This functionality provides a convenient solution for users who may have forgotten their password or are unable to access their account due to the lockout.

Upon clicking the link, users should be redirected to a password recovery page. This page often requires them to verify their identity to ensure the security of their account. The authentication method consists in receiving a verification code via e-mail, therefore the user needs to have the unique e-mail maintained in the Business User.

NOTE: If same e-mail ID is maintained for multiple users then forgot password functionality doesn't work.

It's worth noting that for security reasons, SAP does not unlock or reset user passwords, unless under exceptional circumstances. Our approach prioritizes the protection of user accounts and ensures that password management remains in the hands of the users themselves.
