3295455 - How to transfer Canvas reports with detailed and advanced queries, between instances with Report Center?

This article explains how to transfer Canvas reports with detailed and advanced queries between instances when the source and / or the destination instance have Report Center enabled.

In order to transfer Canvas reports you will need to access the report center and use the 'Export' option listed under each individual report's menu:

1. Go to the report center.
2. Locate the desired Report / Tile, click the action menu and select 'Export'.
   
   
   
   
3. This will download a .xml file which is the file format used for all canvas reports.

After exporting the desired report, access the destination instance to import it:

1. Navigate to Report Center in the destination instance and click the 'Import' button on the top right corner.
   
    
2. A window will pop up and it is possible to select a file from the computer to be imported.
3. For canvas reports, the ..xml file must be selected and it can be renamed during the import.
4. Once the import is complete, a confirmation about the upload will pop up.
