3295486 - SAP GUI with Webview2 runtime : web-based transactions are not opening properly in detach browser window

Symptom

  • Web-based transactions are not being launched in the first attempt in the SAP GUI. 
  • Browser window appears to try to launch, but the outline of the browser window is briefly displayed and no browser is launched.
  • If the users repeat their action, typically the web application will launch in the webview2 window, but sometimes it requires multiple attempts to launch.
  • SSO is not working (sometimes it works after some attempts or sometimes a small blank window appears and subsequently a new window with credentials is prompted). The issue occurs with no certificate errors.
