3295501 - Time Collision - Split and Delimit doesn't work

• Time Management Collision Grouping has been setup as per the guide.
• However, notice that the Collision grouping doesn't work when trying to insert a new absence in an existing absence's period
• An Error message comes up : "There are already absences for *user* in period Day/Month/Year - Day/Month/Year, so this posting is not possible"

1. Setup collision grouping as per the guide for Time type Y
2. Insert a new absence of Time type: Y within a period of an existing absence period of Time type: X
3. Instead of performing a "Split and Delimit" on the existing absence record of X, the system returns an error message that states "There are existing absences for this user in this period"

This is an existing behavior when the existing absence of Time Type X has been deducted from a Time Account which has been closed.

• You cannot split an absence that is no longer editable, as is the case, for example, after period-end processing has run for the relevant time account and it has been closed.
• The collision mechanism will work when absence is being inserted in an Absence period of type X which has been deducted from an Open/Active Time Account.
