Symptom

Cloud Integration flow with receiver Kafka adapter fails processing with following exception: 

com.sap.it.rt.adapter.http.api.exception.HttpResponseException: An internal server error occured: Expiring <n> record(s) for <topic>-<partition>:<time> ms has passed since batch creation.

The client (CI) tries to send the message many times before this error appears, putting considerable load on client and broker.
