3296009 - Can't connect on-premise DP Agent to HANA in the cloud , while attempting to register Hana Adapter

Symptom

  • Using the Agentcli tool, able to register the DP agent but not able to register a HanaAdapter :
    SAP DBTech JDBC: [403]: internal error: Cannot get adapter capabilities: exception 151044: Agent "<DP Agent Name>" is not available.

  •  Framework.trc shows:
    2023-01-30 12:40:57,618 [ERROR]  DPFramework | JDBCConnector.makeConnection  - com.sap.db.jdbc.exceptions.JDBCDriverException: SAP DBTech JDBC: Cannot connect to jdbc:sap://<xxxxxxxxx>.hanacloud.ondemand.com:443:443 [Receive of connect failed.].
    2023-01-30 12:40:57,618 [ERROR]  DPFramework | JDBCConnector.read  - Unable to make JDBC connection to server.
                                    Unable to make JDBC connection to server.
    Executing SQL statement "create adapter "HanaAdapter" at location agent "<DP Agent Name>"" failed with SAP DBTech JDBC: [403]: internal error: Cannot get adapter capabilities: exception 151044: Agent
    "<DP Agent Name>" is not available.
