• Installing Crystal Reports 2020 on a computer that have Crystal Reports 2016 installed, will update Crystal Reports 2016, to Crystal Reports 2020. After the update, a new license key is required to use Crystal Reports 2020.   
      
• To install Crystal Reports 2020 on a computer that have Crystal Reports 2016:
     
1. Download Crystal Reports 2020
2. Install Crystal Reports 2020 on the computer where Crystal Reports 2016 is installed
3. Get a Crystal Reports 2020 keycode / license key
4. Update the Crystal Reports License Key
    
       

1. Download Crystal Reports 2020
      
• 1.1 Go to SAP Software Download  ( https://origin.softwaredownloads.sap.com/public/site/index.html )
    
• 1.2 Select the following:
• Software Product : SAP Crystal Reports
• Product Version   : SAP Crystal Reports 2020
• Software Type     : CV_SP
    
• 1.3 Click "Go"
    
• 1.4 In the list at the bottom download the latest Support Pack.
       ( Or if you are planning to connect to an SAP BusinessObjects BI Server,
        download the same Support Pack, and Patch as the server )
  
  The downloads can be used as a full installation, as well as for updating the product.

2. Install Crystal Reports 2020 on the computer where Crystal Reports 2016 is installed
   

   Before installing Crystal Reports 2020, it is recommended to read the SAP Knowledge Base Article:
   
        1638102 - Installation Best Practices for Crystal Reports

   Below are the general installation steps to upgrade to Crystal Reports 2020:

• 2.1  Unzip the installation package on the local computer where Crystal Reports 2016 is installed.
    
• 2.2  Right click on the setup.exe, and select "Run as Administrator"
    
• 2.3  In SAP Crystal Reports 2020 update, in the Check Prerequisites screen, check the box:
  
          "I have read SAP Knowledge Base Article 1794601 ..."
    
• 2.4  Then click "Next"
   
• 2.5  In "Welcome to the installation wizard for SAP Crystal Reports", click "Next"
   
• 2.6  In the "License Agreement", read it, and select "I accept the License Agreement", and click "Next"
    
• 2.7 In "New License Key Requirement", read the information, then check the box:
  
         "I have read the documentation and understood the process to request the new license key... "
     
  2.8  Click "Next"
    
  2.9  In "Select Language Packages", select the desired languages, and click "Next"
    
  2.10  In "Start Installation", click "Next"
    
           It will then take some time to upgrade Crystal Reports 2016 to Crystal Reports 2020.
        
       

3. Get a Crystal Reports 2020 keycode / license key
   
   To use Crystal Reports 2020, it requires a new license key. License key for Crystal Reports 2020 can be requested from the SAP License Key website by following the steps found in the SAP Knowledge Base Article:

   If you are having issue generating the license key, create a case for the License Keys support team under the component: XX-SER-LIKEY-BOJ  Note: In the main time, you can still use Crystal Reports 2020 by using the temporary license key following the steps found in the SAP Knowledge Base Article:

4. Update the Crystal Reports License Key
     
1. 4.1  Start Crystal Reports 2020
     
2. 4.2  The first time you start Crystal Reports 2020, it will display the License Manager.
     
3. 4.3  Enter the Crystal Reports 2020 keycode / license key, and click "Add"
      
4. 4.4  Click "OK"
