Symptom
Employees time accounts are missing after rehire is performed.
Termination end handling has been configured in the system.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, Time Off
Reproducing the Issue
- Terminate and rehire user
- Execute termination end handling
- Navigate to affected user workbench
- Time Accounts are missing for 2023 for example
Cause
Time accounts were created as expected, however, the Termination end handling was executed after the rehire, due to which the time account got deleted after rehire.
Before entering a Rehire event in the system , please make sure that the Time Management Task for Termination end Handling is in status “Completed Successfully”.
This is a documented limitation, customers should ensure that Termination End Handling is executed successfully before doing a Rehire.
Resolution
To recreate the missing time account for the rehired employee, run the account creation calendar in Manage Time Off Calendars for the relevant time account type.
In future please ensure the Termination End Handling is completed before creating a rehire event for the employee as per the guide:
" If the termination process is executed after the rehire, the time accounts that lie after the termination date can be deleted.
We recommend that you don't do a rehire before the Termination End Handling process is successfully executed."
