Symptom

  • ASE errorlog reports signal 11 with VEH_Optimize(): 
    00:0020:00000:00120:2023/02/01 02:18:35.11 kernel  SIGSEGV is caught by VEH_Optimize()
    00:0020:00000:00120:2023/02/01 02:18:35.11 kernel  Return VXACTION_CONTINUE from VEH_Optimize()
  • Also has stacktrace with lasterror=701
    00:0021:00000:00120:2023/02/01 02:21:44.02 kernel  lasterror = 701 preverror = 0 transtate = 2
  • Then ASE got frozen/stuck and a server reboot is required
