3296912 - AO Workbook with transient query pointing to wrong system

A workbook has been transported that contains transient queries from source system A to target system B.

When opening the AO workbook from the system B,  AO logon screen pops up pointing to logon on to system A.

SAP Analysis for Microsoft Office

Open AO workbook from Netweaver system or from Fiori Launchpad.

Due to backend system behavior change, transient queries are not avaialbe in the backend table RSAOOBJXREF and always point to the source system A.

In the AO_Trace_XXXXX.glf, you can find the following entries:

AO Client has been adapted to new backend behavior in AO 2.8 SP17 with the new setting UsePlatformAsDefaultTransportTarget default set to True as described in note:

3287311 - Transient Queries are pointing to the origin System after Transport

Please apply AO 2.8 SP17 (or higher) to resolve this issue.
