3297061 - Customer Account Statement Shows Different Currency in Aging Details

Symptom

You have executed the Customer Account Statement run for a given customer, however, when checking the output file, the system shows the account balance in e.g. USD and the Aging Details in ZAR currency.

You expect both to be shown in USD.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesing.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Receivables work center.
  2. Go to Customer Account Statement view.
  3. Select the executed run.
  4. Show all logs.
  5. Click View Report Run Results.
  6. Go to Attachments.
  7. Open PFD file.

You see that the account balance is correctly shown in USD, but in the Aging Details (Days Overdue) section, the amount is shown in ZAR.

Cause

The Customer account statement is specific to South Africa and you are using this feature for a country other than South Africa. If the report is used for companies from other countries, the results may be inconsistent.

Since this is specific to South Africa, the local currencies are picked up from the accounting document as first priority. If this is not available the currency is explicitly converted to ZAR.

For example:

  • Company AAA has a default currency as USD and transaction documents are posted in USD. In this case, the local currency is not filled in the accounting document and hence the account statement is printed with ZAR.
  • Company BBB has a default currency as GHS and the transaction documents are posted in USD. In this case, the local currency can be derived from the accounting document and used in the Customer Account Statement

Resolution

This is the expected system behavior.
