3298003 - The Restricted Measure which contains dynamic restriction "Previous Year" on Date dimension shows incorrect total value on Date hierarchy node in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Define a restricted measure calculation which contains the dynamic restriction "Previous Year" on Date dimension in a story in SAC
• Add an input control based on the Date dimension and select several months, and observe that:
  • When not expanding the hierarchy, this restricted measure on Year level will show the value of the total year instead of the sum of the selected months
  • When expanding the hierarchy to Month level, this restricted measure could only show values on Month level and no value would show on Year level

• SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Log on to SAC
2. Create a story based on the model with New Model type
3. Add a restricted measure calculation to this story which contains the dynamic restriction "Previous Year" on Date dimension (NAVIGATION - >Previous (shift previous value)->Year)
4. Go back to story, add an input control based on the Date dimension and select several months (such as May and August)
5. Observe that:
   => When not expanding the hierarchy, this restricted measure on Year level will show the value of the total year instead of the sum of the selected months
   => When expanding the hierarchy to Month level, this restricted measure could only show values on Month level and no value would show on Year level

• This is by design behaviour as of SAP Analytics Cloud
• As per the Current Design for Previous Year, Previous Month, Previous Quarter it calculates the previous values for the specified drill level only. Currently there is no option to display all the values for the specified time calculations.

There is already an enhancement request for this function Improvement Request Details - Customer Influence (sap.com). Please vote for it if you also would expect it to be added into our product.
