3298024 - Resource Is Not Found in Cost and Revenue Work Center

When logged in the system with User ID ABC, the Resource ID DEF is not found in Cost and Revenue work center.

ABC means the User ID.

DEF means the Resource ID.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Log on with User ID ABC.
2. Go to the Cost and Revenue work center.
3. Go to the Resources view.
4. Search for Resource ID DEF.
5. Notice that the Resource is not found. 

The exact cause of this issue is still under investigation by SAP Support.

The issue does not happen for SAP Support Users (used by SAP Support in incident processing).

The issue only happens when the Resource has two or more Cost Centers assigned under its Valuation tab --> All Cost Center Assignments section.

There are two workarounds for this issue:

1. Resource ID DEF can be seen in Supply Chain Design Master Data work center --> Resources view. The issue is exclusively for Cost and Revenue work center --> Resources view.
2. For Resource DEF, do a dummy change under Valuation tab --> All Cost Center Assignments section by deleting one of the cost centers, saving and then adding it again.

In case you come across error messages while applying the workaround number 2, for example, error message 'Postings to resource DEF found; change/deletion not possible', please report an incident to SAP, as backend correction to bypass such validation and perform the dummy change is required. Once the dummy change is successfully executed, Resource DEF becomes visible to User ABC in Cost and Revenue work center.
