3298585 - Error Message 'Service call failed, report an case' While Migrating Services

You are trying to migrate or enhance Services using the migration tool, and in the simulation step the error message is displayed:

"Service call failed, report an case".

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Enter the Overview view.
3. In the search box, search for the activity "Migration of Services" and enter it.
4. Enter the sub-activity "Migrate Services Using the Migration Tool".
5. Select a template to be migrated and click "Execute Migration".
6. Click the option "Step-by-Step".
7. Proceed with the migration steps until step 3.
8. After the simulation is processed, the error is raised.

This error message indicates inconsistencies in the migration template.

Possible inconsistencies:

• You are trying to upload Service IDs which are already created with the same Sales Org. assignment.
• You are trying to upload Service IDs which are already created for the respective company.
• The UoM (Unit of Measure) maintained for a few records is incorrect (for example: you have maintained 'DAY').
• There are duplicate entries for a service in the Valuation sheet.

This is the system expected behavior. 

In order to solve the issue, check the template for duplicate entries and remove the same.
