3298950 - Unable to complete the DB restoration process

Symptom

A resumed recovery of HANA tenant services of appears to complete successfully according to backup.log the following entries are logged:

18623f6c219 INFO    LOGBCKUP state of service: indexserver, <host>:30340, volume: 0, BackupExecuteCatalogBackupInProgress
18623f6c219 INFO    LOGBCKUP state of service: indexserver, <host>:30340, volume: 0, BackupExecuteCatalogBackupError
18623f6c219 INFO    LOGBCKUP state of service: indexserver, <host>:30340, volume: 0, BackupError 

It appears a subsequent backup of the backup catalog fails due to error 'BackupExecuteCatalogBackupError'.

From the HANA Studio recovery wizard no 'Successful' recover message is returned.

The backup location of the backup catalog is sent to a backint provider.

The indexserver trace shows the following log entry for the time of the BackupExecuteCatalogBackupError:

    Error writing backup to 'BACKINT' '/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/hdb/backint/DB_<TENANT_SID/log_backup_0_0_0_0'
