At startup time of the SAP Host Agent, the range of ports to be assigned randomly is set to 9000-65499.
The SAP Host Agent also reserves most ports possibly being used by SAP applications so that they cannot be used by automatic port assignments which may prevent SAP applications from starting. With the default configuration this leaves more than 40000 ports available for random assignment.
