3299810 - Error/Warning message CR019 - "Cost center & not set up in controlling area & on &" occurs in app Change Work Center - SAP S/4HANA Cloud

When changing the Start Date or End Date in costing view in app Change Work Center, the error/warning message CR019 appears showing "Cost center & not set up in controlling area & on &".

Prerequisite: cost center valid from 01.02.2017 to 31.12.9999.

1.The Start Date in costing view is prior to cost center valid from date and the End Date in costing view is greater or equal to the cost center validity to date. The warning message appears showing "Cost center & not set up in controlling area & on &" and save successfully. 

2.Changing the Start Date to 23.12.2016. The Start Date in costing view still prior to cost center valid from date and the End Date in costing view still greater or equal to the cost center validity to date. The warning message appears showing "Cost center & not set up in controlling area & on &" and save successfully.

3.The above action has created a new time record which can be seen when clicking Validities button. This will show all the validities of the cost center assignment.

4.Once saving the work center and open it again, the error message appears showing "Cost center & not set up in controlling area & on &".

It is standard system behavior.

Solution 1: In order to resolve this error, it is necessary to keep the the same start date and change the end date to at least the cost center valid from date. It will convert the error to warning and allow the work center to be saved. 

Solution 2: Clicking on the Delete button at the bottom of the screen to merge the records and convert the error to warning. This will merge both the different timeline and create one timeline which can be seen from validities screen. Pressing Enter when see the warning message, till get the success message.
