3299996 - End dates of pay components are not corrected after deleting a compensation record - Employee Central

Symptom

When deleting a record in the Compensation Information portlet where the pay components were deleted, the existing pay components are not readjusted to the correct end date, 12/31/9999.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a record in the Compensation Information portlet deleting the existing pay components
  2. See that the end date of the pay components will be defaulted to one day previous to the effective date of this new record, since they were deleted
  3. Now delete the newly created record in Compensation Information Portlet
  4. The pay components will remain with current end date, even without the deletion record. They should have been defaulted as 12/31/9999.

Cause

This is a product defect. 

Resolution

This issue is planned to be fixed on b2305 release. 

Workaround: disable the option "Enable Centralized Services to Save Changes on the History UI of Compensation Information" in Company System and Logo Settings before deleting Compensation Information records.
