Symptom
You use app F0869A - 'Create Outbound Deliveries - from Sales Orders' to process a Sales Order containing multiple items with different Planned Creation Date.
When you filter the worklist with Planned Creation Date (eg.02/10/2023 - 02/28/2023) , multiple entries are returned in the list. You select the one due on 02/10/2023 and press 'Create Deliveries', then a delivery containing multiple items is created.
When you filter the worklist via Sales Document ID, multiple entries are returned as well. You select the one due on 02/10/2023 and press 'Created Deliveries', then only the selected item is included in the created delivery.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud
Cause
This behavior has been changed since CE2302.
If the filter on Planned Creation Date is used, the upper limit of the provided filter value is used for the selection on the delivery index during delivery creation, regardless of whether the entries were checked in the list or not.
If the filter on the Planned Creation Date is not used, the latest 'Planned Creation Date' of any sales orders checked in the list is used for the selection on the delivery index during delivery creation.
Resolution
For app F0869A - 'Create Outbound Deliveries - from Sales Orders', the selection of the order to create the delivery is performed on Sales Document level.
Hence, if multiple entries exist in the index up to Planned Creation Date, all of them are considered when creating the delivery document.
If your process requires you to perform mass delivery creation by selecting individual order items or even schedule lines, Please use applications 'My Sales Order Items - due for Delivery' and 'My Sales Order Schedule Lines - due for Delivery' respectively.
