3300962 - Scrapping on Project Not Possible as System Displays The Error Message "Account Assignment of Type Project is Not Allowed"

You are trying to scrap a Material which you have not used in a Production Process per requirement on a Project Task. However, when you try to scrap same by selecting the Account Assignment Type "PRO - Project Task", the system displays the error message "Account Assignment of Type Project is Not Allowed".

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the internal logistics work center. 
2. Go to Common Tasks and select Scrapping.
3. Enter the relevant Site ID, Cost center ID, and Product ID.
4. Click Next.
5. Select a row of the Product and enter the Scrapped Quantity
6. Go to the Account Assignment sub-tab.
7. Change the Account Assignment Type to PRO - Project Task and select any Project/Project Task via the Value selector.
8. The system returns the mentioned error message. 

Scrapping with regard to Project Task is not valid and this is the standard behaviour. The Account Assignment Type is a generic dropdown and Stock cannot be scrapped to project it has to be consumed to Project.

No further analysis required and no code changes required for the same.
