3301161 - CDS does not exist when adding OData Service or executing query

Symptom

You are trying to add an OData service or execute a report based on a CDS view in BW and face errors similar to the ones below:

Metadata not loaded - see /IWBEP/ERROR_LOG in
back end '&1' - InfoProvider
2C**** does not exist...

or simply

2C**** does not exist... on other contexts

Environment

S/4HANA
SAP Fiori for SAP ERP
SAP NetWeaver 751 SP2 and above (including 752, 753...etc)
SAP NetWeaver 750 SP4 and above
