3301237 - Warning: "Period is not opened for GL account xxxxxxx " when running schedule job Realign Group Reporting Preparation Ledger

Symptom

When you open Schedule Jobs For Consolidation Tasks app and choose job Realign Group Reporting Preparation Ledger, the job log shows warning message: "Period is not opened for GL account xxxxxxx"

Reproducing the Issue

Open Schedule Jobs For Consolidation Tasks app-> Run job Realign Group Reporting Preparation Ledger;

The job log shows warning message "period is not opened for GL account xxxxxxx"

Cause

In order to be able to process the realignment function successfully, periods have to be opened for respective company codes and accounting ledgers.

Resolution

To post realignment entries, the accounting period must be open in both the Manage Posting Periods app and the Manage Posting Periods - Cost Accounting app. In the Manage Posting Periods- Cost Accounting app, periods are managed by company codes and business transaction type. Be aware that realignment is controlled via business transaction type GRRA. Also make sure the business transaction type GRRA is open.
