SAP Knowledge Base Article - PublicSymptom
When you upload the file in Import Group Journal Entries app, you get the following error message:
File upload failed
Your file cannot be uploaded because of the following errors:
- Enter a correct amount in field Value in Group Currency.
- An exception was raised
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Reproducing the Issue
Open Import Group Journal Entries app-> Import your file-> An error message pops up:
File upload failed
Your file cannot be uploaded because of the following errors:
- Enter a correct amount in field Value in Group Currency.
- An exception was raised
Cause
The issue is caused by changing the cell formats from text to accounting.
Resolution
Do not change the cell formats in the existing template.
Please download the new template from the system and fill in the data without changing the cell formats.
