Symptom
You activated a workflow rule for purchase order. In the conditions, you defined that the notification should be triggered when approver is ABC. However no notifications is triggered after releasing a purchase order which has approver ABC. (i.e.Here ABC is an Approver ID)

Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Application and User Management work center.
- Go to Workflow Rules view.
- There is a workflow rule for purchase orders, with condition Approver (or Approver ID) equal to ABC
- Create and release a purchase order, send to approver ABC for approval.
- You expect a notification for the purchase order should be triggered by the workflow rule, however no notification is being triggered.
Cause
Purchase order approver ID / approver name is determined only when the order is approved.
Therefore if you create a new Purchase Order, save it and send it for approval, no workflow notification is being triggered.
Resolution
The system sends notifications according to the workflow rule conditions only if an approved purchase order is changed again.
