3301980 - Application with an outdated SAP HANA Client is connecting to SAP HANA Cloud instance

Symptom

One or both of the following SAP Alert Notification for SAP BTP is displayed:

  • HDBClientVersion - Outdated SAP HANA Client in use - Upgrading to a newer SAP HANA Client is required to use the latest features. Minimum required version for client type <tags.client_type> is <tags.min_version>. Client version <tags.client_version> in use with clients <tags.client_application> with service ID <resource.resourceInstance>.
  • HDBClientUnsupported - Unsupported SAP HANA Client in use - Supported SAP HANA Client is required to use the latest features. Unsupported client type <tags.client_type>, version <tags.client_version> in use with clients <tags.client_application> with service ID <resource.resourceInstance>.
