3302257 - Not Possible to Mark Fields Contact Data Fields as Mandatory in Lead TI "Phone", "Mobile Phone"


There is no option to set properties such as 'mandatory' for Contact Information fields in the Lead object.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Sales work centre -> Leads view and open any lead without existing account/contact
  2. Enter Adaptation mode
  3. Select the 'Contact Information' section from the Lead header.
  4. You see: In the Contact Information section, there is no option to set the fields 'phone' and 'mobile' as mandatory.


For the 'Mobile' and 'Phone' fields, the field properties can be edited, however, you need to navigate further into the field.

The same behaviour applies to the fields in other lead sections such as 'Account Information'.


  1. Repeat the above steps 1.-3
  2. Select the 'Mobile' or 'Phone' field (same behaviour for both fields)
  3. Select 'Value'
  4. Select 'Value' again
  5. Set the mandatory settings as needed.
