1. Run the Canvas Advance report.
2. Report gives below error.

3. Check for Validation error for the report. Locating Validation Errors in a Canvas Report | SAP Help Portal 
4. The Validation error will be as below.
"Failed to deserialize the xml for the query"

Advanced Reporting Metadata out of sync is causing the reported issue.

Run the reporting metadata sync to resolve the issue.
